So, a couple new things going on at this point:
I got my first muscle up! (on the rings) And proved I could officially do it by getting 10 total on the first session, then getting 2 straight without touching the floor. Pretty pumped up about that one seeing how I actually have been lightly working on it for almost a year.
This coming weekend I'll be competing in my first Jiu-jitsu tournament. I'm very excited about it and feel confident that I will have a great time.
This past weekend I was up at the Kushi Institute, the headquarters for the macrobiotic lifestyle and my mothers burial grounds. I had a wonderful time up there, eating some great food and learning a good amount. I now have about 15 books on macrobiotics and plan on getting much more into that I.E. talking about it here...
As many of you know I did something pretty extreme a couple weeks back when I followed a 7 day natural clensing detox program to help jumpstart my healthier lifestyle and lose a few pounds. My next post will cover all the information on that one and also introduce a new venture in Josh Courage Training based on my experience.
Be ready for a few new things in the coming months; a new website (professionally done this time), more TV air time, summer camps announced, a foundation being formed, athlete sponsoring and much, much more.
My final bit of info is that I will be commiting much more time to the blog as the warm months begin to find their way here. I have been missing writing down my thoughts and adventures.

New Training
So now that I am officially done with my year-long marathon goal (a huge success I might add), I am on to some new things. I have yet to attach myself to anything as serious as the running challenge, but I know that with the amount of different workouts am trying out, I am sure to hook on to something soon. But while I work and work out, I thought I'd share some of the fun new things I've tried over the past months...
First things first; the jiu-jitsu is going alright. I am having a blast with it all but it is a bit tough to get it in consistently because of my training schedule and because my instructor is in the process of expanding and having a hard time with keeping a set schedule. I am sure that will smooth out pretty quickly for both of us though as baseball season is right around the corner and my schedule will open up; and on his side, things will settle down in the new locations and it'll all be set in stone. Besides that I have been working out on a somewhat regular basis with a couple other trainers and we have been toying around with CrossFit. Now, I have plenty to say about this style of exercise, but I will keep at this: it's fun, it's not for everyone, it'll kick you butt and get you in shape fast.
We have also been messing around with a other forms of lifting - dragging cars, heavy sandbags, lifting water pipes an
d kegs, hoisting up 100lbs med balls etc - all benefiting out strength training needs and our fun needs. Here are a couple pictu
res.
Last but not least, last weekend I took a trip out to an indoor climbing facility. After a couple hours I walked out with no feeling in my hands and arms and feeling very, very humbled. It has been decided that I will begin taking this a little more seriously starting next week when I head out to take a couple classes. Should be a good time.

Back to Blogging...and what a great day!
Well it's been a little over a month since the last time I logged on and wrote down my thoughts. In that time quite a bit has happened. In this little "getting back into it" post I'll talk about a couple of them and then go ahead and hit the sack for a good nights sleep before I get back to work tomorrow.
Today, history was made. I chose to stay away from downtown as I tend to have issues with hanging around huge groups of people...especially when that huge group is around 2 million. But living in the city during the days leading up to today made me realize just how important this change is for not only us here in America, but for the entire world. And today, seeing the hoards of people gather together for an amazingly peaceful welcome of someone who represents so much to everyone in the world.
Now, I am no politician; I studied a bit of philosophy in college, but really, I am a trainer, a fitness expert. I feel like I don't have the right to get into any crazy detail about what I think is good and bad, right and wrong about politics, but I feel that everyone has a voice and should be proud to speak up at all times. All I hope for, all I want, all I strive for and wish to see in the world, is positive change. An effort to help and support people who are down, and to put aside ones own greedy desires to hold someone else's hand and help them up. I dedicated my life to this effort, and now I see that America may have a leader who is dedicated to do just that.
It's pretty exciting.
So, no matter where you stand on the political scale, what you believe in religiously, no matter where you come from, always take the time to think about others and how you might be able to help.
I'll talk about fitness soon!
